PicoScope 2205

Speed Of Sound Experiment

Farady Experiment

Dynamo Experiment

A PicoScope 2205 USB Oscilloscope is included with the kit. This dual-channel PC Oscilloscope is capable of real-time sampling rates of up to 200 megasamples per second, has a 25 MHz analogue bandwidth a and a 16,000 sample buffer memory. With the PicoScope 2205 you get a complete test and measuremant lab in one compact device: as well as an oscilloscope, the PicoScope 2205 can also function as a spectrum analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator and data logger too.

All you need to start experimenting

The PicoScope Education Kit comes complete with all the apparatus you need to perform the following physics experiments:

Speed of sound

The speed of sound experiment uses two microphones to measure the speed of sound.

Faraday’s law

The Faraday’s law experiment demonstrates that the EMF induced in a conductor linked by a changing magnetic flux is proportional to the rate of change of the flux.

AC dynamo

The AC dynamo experiment builds on the results of the Faraday’s law experiment. Repeated pulses of EMF are induced in a coil by a rotating magnet, resulting in an AC voltage output.

The education kit can be used for many different experiments and educational projects. To get you started the PicoScope for Education software also includes integrated instructions and automatic setups for the following experiments:

  • Measuring the value of a capacitor
  • Serial data
  • Speed of a pulse along a cable
  • Acceleration due to gravity

The world-class kit for your classroom

The PicoScope Education Kit is a truly versatile educational tool. Supplied with a powerful USB oscilloscope and everything you need to get started, the education kit is your complete test and measurement lab. It can be used for many different experiments and projects. It is easy to use, yet includes many advanced features, making it ideal for students of all ages.
